Reinsurance Solutions Group puts Africa on the map at Dubai World Insurance Congress 2023

Reinsurance Solutions Group (RSG) attended the Dubai World Insurance Congress 2023, jointly hosted by Global Reinsurance and the Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC), on 8 and 9 March 2023 in Dubai, UAE.

The congress was themed 'Resilience: Navigating the storm to a better world', and brought together more than 1 500 insurance and reinsurance leaders from 60 countries around the world, specifically the Middle East and Maghreb countries. It is the largest event of its kind in the region, offering unprecedented opportunities for networking and industry thought leadership.

Cameron Cupido, RSIS CEO and Executive Director Indian Ocean Islands, Mauritius, and Medgee Ithier, Area Manager, Reinsurance Solutions (Mauritius), attended the event on behalf of RSG.

Cupido says the event provided invaluable networking opportunities for the Group, particularly with partners from across the region and London.

"The congress once again highlighted the importance of face-to-face meetings. Virtual meetings have their place, but nothing compares to personally engaging people. This is actually critical in making new connections and in strengthening existing partnerships, so we can all grow together," Cupido explains.

Cupido and Ithier also used the opportunity to identify new projects for the RSG as it continues to grow its footprint in Africa.
